In-surgery teeth whitening - Philip’s Zoom!

If you are looking for a radiant smile transformation that fits your busy schedule? Our Philip’s Zoom! In-surgery whitening treatment, often called ‘laser’ or ‘power’ whitening, is the perfect solution. This advanced system uses light-activated technology to brighten your teeth much more rapidly than at-home kits. In under two hours, you can achieve a noticeably lighter, more dazzling smile – making it an incredibly convenient option for patients with packed diaries.

During the treatment, your gums and lips are carefully protected with a rubber dam, and a professional strength lightening gel is applied to your teeth. A special light then activates the gel, speeding up the whitening process in stages. At each stage, we’ll remove the gel and clean your teeth, allowing us to carefully monitor your progress and ensure the best results.

This treatment is ideal for anyone who wants fast, dramatic results, perfect for special occasions like a wedding, milestone birthday, or a reunion where you want to look your absolute best.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does professional teeth whitening differ from over-the-counter options?

Professional teeth whitening significantly differs from over-the-counter (OTC) options primarily in the strength of the whitening agents, the level of customisation, and the crucial aspect of professional supervision. Dentists use much higher concentrations of hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, which are far more effective at penetrating deep stains and achieving dramatic, long-lasting results. Unlike generic strips or trays, professional treatments often involve custom-fitted trays that ensure even gel distribution and protect your gums from irritation. Furthermore, a dental professional monitors your oral health throughout the process, ensuring safety, addressing any sensitivities, and providing expert guidance for optimal and consistent whitening, which is invaluable compared to the "one-size-fits-all" approach of most retail products.

Is teeth whitening safe?

Teeth whitening treatment is safe when performed by a qualified dental professional. Our treatments are designed to brighten your smile without harming your teeth or enamel. It’s important to avoid unregulated products that can be bought online or in beauty salons, as they can pose risks to your oral health. If you have any concerns or underlying dental issues, ask your dentist before beginning treatment.

How long do results from professional teeth whitening last?

The results of teeth whitening can last for several years. To maintain your bright smile, it's essential to practise good oral hygiene, avoid consuming too much tea, coffee, or other rich-coloured foods, and follow your dentist's recommendations. We also offer top-up treatments to keep your smile bright.

Does teeth whitening work on all teeth?

While teeth whitening can be effective for most people, the results may vary depending on factors such as the original colour of your teeth, the type of stains, and your overall oral health. It is also important to note that teeth whitening treatment is not effective on dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, or veneers.

Is teeth whitening suitable for sensitive teeth?

Mild tooth sensitivity is a common side effect during the whitening process, but it is usually temporary. If you experience sensitivity, your dentist may recommend using the whitening gel less frequently or for shorter durations. Additionally, using a toothpaste formulated for sensitive teeth can help alleviate any discomfort. It's essential to consult with your dentist if you have any concerns or if sensitivity persists.

Based in Marylebone, London, near Harley Street, he is known for his thoughtful, meticulous, and prevention-focused approach to patient care.

Dr. Tinti believes healthy gums are the foundation of all successful dentistry — whether maintaining natural teeth, supporting cosmetic treatment, or ensuring the long-term stability of dental implants. His approach combines evidence-based periodontal care with a strong emphasis on education, maintenance, and minimally invasive treatment wherever possible.

He has extensive experience in the treatment of periodontal disease, gum recession, and complex restorative-periodontal cases, frequently working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside referring dentists and implant clinicians. Patients particularly value his calm manner, honesty, and ability to explain even complex conditions in a clear and reassuring way.

Alongside clinical practice, Dr. Tinti remains committed to continuing professional development and modern periodontal techniques, with a focus on achieving stable, maintainable, and natural long-term outcomes rather than short-term cosmetic solutions alone.

Dr. Sanaz Tehrani

Dr. Sanaz Tehrani

Cosmetic Dentistry and Invisalign Provider

DDS (Germany)

GDC: 84955

Dr. Sanaz Tehrani is a German-trained dentist with a particular interest in Invisalign, minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry, and natural-looking smile enhancement. Based in Marylebone, London, near Harley Street, she is known for her warm, patient-centred approach and her belief that cosmetic dentistry should enhance a person’s appearance without compromising individuality or long-term oral health.

After qualifying in dentistry at RWTH Aachen University, Germany, in 2004, Dr. Tehrani relocated to the UK in 2005 and has since spent more than two decades caring for patients alongside her husband, Dr. Pedram Negahban. Together, they took over Implant & Perio Clinic on Portland Place, continuing a long-standing tradition of high-quality referral and patient-focused care.

Dr. Tehrani has extensive experience in private aesthetic dentistry, including Invisalign, whitening, composite bonding, and restorative smile rehabilitation. Her approach is conservative and detail-oriented, with an emphasis on harmony, facial balance, and results that age naturally over time. She believes dentistry should evolve with the patient, rather than follow temporary cosmetic trends.

Alongside aesthetic dentistry, Dr. Tehrani also has a strong background in general and emergency dental care, helping patients with everything from broken teeth and failing restorations to urgent discomfort and stabilisation treatment. Patients particularly value her calm manner, honesty, and ability to make even anxious individuals feel comfortable and understood.

While she enjoys the artistic and transformative side of cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Tehrani also finds great joy in treating children and young patients. Helping children feel relaxed, confident, and positive about visiting the dentist remains one of the most rewarding parts of her work and something that genuinely lights up her heart in daily practice.

Her passion for dentistry began following her own orthodontic treatment as a teenager, when she experienced first-hand the confidence and emotional impact that thoughtful dental care can have on a person’s life. This continues to shape the way she approaches patient care today.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tehrani enjoys travelling, social and charitable activities, and staying active through sport and fitness. She values human connection deeply and believes the most rewarding part of dentistry is the long-term relationships built with patients over time.
